2. Custom Cruises

We know the owners of over 30 ships on a first-name basis. We’ve worked with several of them since 1999. If our signature active cruises don’t quite meet your requirements, let’s work together to find the right ship for you.

3. Scuba Diving

Our very own CNH Tours scuba diving expert lives and works in Galapagos.  She has guided on live-aboard diving cruises and also runs her own scuba-diving school.  Organize your 8 day live-aboard, your multi-day land-based diving package, or even get your diving certification in Galapagos.

4. Accessible Galapagos

Custom-designed trips for those with disabilities.  Just because you may have mobility issues or are visually impaired doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy what Galapagos has to offer.

5. Land-Based Galapagos

Some people would rather not sleep on a ship.  If that’s you, we can arrange a comfortable land-based alternative to seeing the islands.  From luxury tented camps, to highland retreats, there are many very nice options to consider.

Why You Can Trust CNH Tours

We understand that there are people who have been dreaming of a trip to the Galapagos for a long time – that this is not just one more place to tick off as a “been-there-done-that” holiday destination. At CNH Tours you will have the opportunity to learn from naturalist guides who have the expertise to respond to challenging questions and who will nurture a sense of wonder so you can experience what the Galapagos is all about.

All of our Galapagos team members have lived and worked in the islands for several years.  We retain our hands on the pulse of Galapagos through our long-term connections with our friends and colleagues who remain in the islands.  Today, several of them are senior naturalist guides, or occupy senior positions in local and national governments, at the Park and at the Darwin Station.  Few travel agencies have access to such a diversity of personal and professional contacts in Galapagos

After having posted thousands of helpful recommendations on , this very popular travel information website invited Heather to become its first Galapagos “Galapagos Destination Expert” in 2009.  Heather continues to provide advice there to people considering a Galapagos trip.  In February 2020, CNH Tour was recognized as the Best Boutique Galapagos cruise Operator – Canada by Lux Life Magazine.

In 2015, Marc Patry, co-owner of CNH Tours, was elected as a member of the Charles Darwin Foundation’s governing council.  He was re-elected in 2019.  His long history in Galapagos, first as a staff member of the Darwin Station, then as a United Nations representative overseeing the conservation status of the Galapagos World Heritage Sites puts him in a good position to provide guidance to the Foundation.  In turn, this helps us keep close tabs on conservation issues in the islands.

We’re members of the International Galapagos Tour Operators’ Association (IGTOA) – created to promote sustainable tourism in the islands.  We do that by raising funds in support of community conservation, environmental education and naturalist guide training initiatives.  We also engage stakeholders, such as the Galapagos National Parks Service and UNESCO’s World Heritage Centre on issues we feel need to be addressed.  We are plugged into the Galapagos and this helps us better serve you.

Non-Profit Fundraising

We’ve organized non-profit fund-raising cruises or donated trips in support of good projects such as the Galapagos library, underprivileged urban youth, public radio, wildlife education centres and more.  On occasion, we invite deserving local youths on a cruise.  During COVID, with the help of past (and future guests), we raised over US$54,000 in direct support for local ship crew. If you’d like to use a Galapagos cruise as a fundraiser for a special cause, please get in touch with us to explore possibilities.

Your Local Experts

You always have the support of a full, expert team, including for all logistics and urgent situations on the ground. These are some of our stellar, behind-the-scenes team members.

Highlights that Make Our Trips Unique

Our Guides
We work with the best Galapagos National Park Certified Naturalist Guides that can be found. This is the most critical component to any Galapagos cruise. Our guides go out of their way to ensure you have the best possible opportunities to know Galapagos.
Small Group Environments
We offer small group environments on a perfectly suited, well managed and unobtrusive small ships. These ships do not impose themselves on the sea and landscapes you are visiting.
Snorkeling, Snorkeling, and MORE Snorkeling
The Galapagos Marine Reserve was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001 for good reason. Our guides will take you into the water as often as possible to marvel at the wonderful underwater life.
Kayaks and Paddle Boarding
Several kayaks and, on the Samba, two paddle boards to give you the chance to explore quiet coves and bays - there is no better way to spot sea turtles, reef sharks and other coastal/mangrove ecosystem wildlife. Not all ships carry kayaks / paddle boards.
Leisure Options
We provide the option for extra land-based time in Galapagos, giving you some personal time to do your own exploring.
Privately Guided Day Trip to Quito
We offer a full privately guided day trip in Quito (another World Heritage site) to appreciate what is commonly considered to be the most beautiful historic urban centre in all of South America.
Professional and Attentive Crew
Our crew works hard to ensure that all your minor concerns are attended to in a cordial and discrete fashion, providing wonderful meals and a helping hand whenever you need one.
